Update: Suspect Identified at Concert Stabbing in Anderson

ANDERSON, Calif. - California Highway Patrol Officers said Monday that three people were involved in a stabbing incident Saturday night at the Shasta District Fairgrounds.

Officials know who the suspect is, although no arrests have been made yet. The case is still under investigation, they are asking anyone with information to call California Highway Patrol Investigations at 530-225-2715.

An altercation at a music event ended with three people in the hospital just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

California Highway Patrol officers at the scene told KRCR News Channel 7 that at least one of the victims was stabbed. That person was taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Redding as a trauma alert.

Investigators say two other people showed up at Mercy with injuries from the fight as well, though they couldn't confirm if they were stab wounds.

The suspect, who was still on the loose as of Saturday night, was described by officers as a bald black male in his 30s, standing roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.

The CHP is the lead agency investigating the case because the incident occured on state property. The Anderson Police Department, Redding Police Department and Shasta County Sheriff's Office are assisting in the investigation.
