PARADISE, Calif. - Paradise Police have released new details about a triple shooting Monday morning that left a 53-year-old woman dead, and a man and 12-year-old girl injured. Police arrested 53-year-old Robert McClintock on charges of homicide and attempted homicide.
The woman who was killed was identified as Nancy Taylor, 53. The man who was injured was identified as Rodney McClintock, 49. He is said to be in critical condition after surgery. The 12-year-old girl is not being identified by police, because she is a minor. She is said to be stable after surgery.
Police said the call came in at 6:33 a.m. Monday from the 400 block of Horseshoe Hill Lane. Officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots and yelling in the area of Horseshoe Hill Lane and Honey Run Road.
Officers found three gunshot victims at a residence at 462 Horseshoe Hill Lane.
Witnesses indicated the suspect had run down Honey Run Road. With the assistance of CHP, Butte County Sheriff and Chico PD, a search was conducted in the area.
Assets included helicopter units from CHP and BCSO and K9 units from Paradise PD, BCSO and Chico PD. A K9 unit located McClintock hiding in the canyon off Honey Run Road and he was taken into custody.
Police have not released any possible motive in the shooting.
