Volunteer firefighter sentenced for multiple arsons

PARADISE, Calif. - A volunteer firefighter has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for setting a series of fires in 2011.

Jairo Perkins-Grubbs set fires around the upper-Paradise Ridge area, including fires at the Lovelock Inn and Desabla Market.

Perkins-Grubbs was found guilty of eight counts of arson with enhancements of multiple fires and using accelerants.

The district attorney's office told us that Perkins-Grubbs was also convicted of arson in Michigan in 1999.

Perkins-Grubbs will serve 17 years plus, if not more.
