CHICO, Calif. - Wet roads likely played a part in a rollover crash just west of Chico Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 9 a.m. on Chico River Road near Rose Avenue.
According to the 18-year-old driver, who was uninjured in the crash, he was negotiating a turn when his pickup truck lost traction and began to skid.
The vehicle crossed the roadway and onto the opposite shoulder where it flipped on its side in an orchard, narrowly missing a small tree.
Rain had started to come down shortly before the accident and slick roads are likely to blame.
