BLUE LAKE, Calif. - The deadly two-car crash Monday on Highway 299 has claimed another life, according to the Humboldt County Coroner's Office. 

Aubrey Wood, 2, of Oroville, has died from injuries, according to a friend of the family.

The crash also took the lives of 53-year-old Janine Orcutt and an unborn child. Eight others, mostly children, were seriously injured and many are still in the hospital receiving treatment, authorities said. 

A Butte County mother and her five children were among those injured in a deadly head-on crash in Humboldt County. The woman was pregnant and lost her unborn child in the crash. A Humboldt County woman was also killed in the crash.

The collision happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday on Highway 299 east of Blue Lake Boulevard in the community of Blue Lake.

The CHP said a Toyota Sienna minivan driven by Yesenia Wood, 26 of Oroville, drifted into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country minivan.

Wood's vehicle rolled, and her five children, ages 1 to 7 were injured. According to the CHP, the children included a 1-year-old girl, a 2-year-old girl, a 4-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl. The children were restrained in car seats and child safety seats. 

Wood was pregnant and her unborn child was killed.
