Bigfoot statue to be raffled for Boys & Girls Club

EUREKA, Calif. - A giant Bigfoot metal sculpture is being raffled to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods.

The piece is on display at at Leon's Car Care Center on Broadway and Washington in Eureka, and will be raffled off at the end of Janaury.

Artist Dan McCauley of Dan's Custom Metals created the eight foot tall, 500 pound sculpture to benefit the club.

"When things impact you as a child, they stay with you for life," McCauley said. "Since I started doing art, I've tried doing it for my community."

Tickets cost $5 each, 5 for $20, 20 for $50 or 50 for $100 and can be purchased at Leon's Car Care Center, The Local Beer Bar, the UPS Store or Dan's Custom Metals.
