Here is the latest update on the wildfires burning in the Northstate:

Happy Camp Complex
The Happy Camp Complex Fire is burning in Klamath National Forest and consists of an estimated 17 fires caused by lightning. All but three of those fires are now 100 percent contained. The fires causing the most problems right now is the Frying Pan Fire and the Faulkstein Fire.
Total Acres: 71,729.
Containment: 15%.
Mandatory Evacuations: Areas on the north side of Highway 96 between Scott River Road and Seiad Creek Road; this also includes areas south of Johnny O’Neil Ridge and East of Seiad Creek Road. Residents may not be able to reenter the evacuation area until the fire danger has passed. Mandatory evacuations also remain in place along Scott River Road from Bridge Flat to the intersection of Hwy 96 and all areas south of Hwy 96 between Scott River Road and Cade Summit.
Advisory Evacuations: Highway 96 from the Klamath River Bridge ½ mile west of Grider Road/Walker Creek Road to Seiad Creek Road. This includes Ladd Road and both sides of Highway 96 to Cade Mountain. Also included in this is the area 4 miles of China Grade Road from Elk Creek Road in Happy Camp.
Evacuation Center: An evacuation center has been established at Happy Camp Karuk Tribal Community Center, 529 Jacobs Way, Happy Camp. Small animals will be accommodated at the center. Large animal transport can be arranged through the Sheriff’s Posse. Contact Jodi Aceves (530)340-2422 to arrange transport.
Road Closures: Hwy 96 from Seaid to Scott River Road has reopened to one way traffic control.

July Complex
The July Complex Fire is burning in the Klamath National Forest and consists of two separate fires, the Log Fire and the Whites Fire.
Total Acres: Whites Fire: 33,763; Man Fire: 2,916; Log Fire: 3,632.
Containment: Whites Fire: 98%; Man Fire: 9%; Log Fire: 100%.
Structures Destroyed/Damaged: There have been no structures destroyed or damaged at this time.
Location of Fire: The Whites Fire is burning four miles east of Sawyer Bar. The Log Fire is burning west of Greenview. The Man Fire started in the upper Wooley Creek watershed of the Marble Mountain Wilderness.
Advisory Evacuations: The Mule Bridge Road and Taylor Lake Road closures were lifted at 6 p.m. Sunday, August 31.
Road Closures: Sawyers Bar Road is now open.
