Casey Meroshnekoff has rodeo in his blood. His father, Alex, has ridden competitively for some twenty years, so it's only natural that Casey would want to get in the arena too.

The 16 year-old only started riding three years ago, but his inexperience in the arena didn't keep him from taking home the 2010 National High School Rodeo Association title in bareback. Casey says, "you understand that it's huge, and a lot of guys are there riding and everything, but it's just another rodeo."

His cool demeanor carried him through three tough go-rounds against hundreds of the top high school riders in the country, and in each go-round he came out on top. Casey's dad says, staying on top of the leader board for that long is pretty rare, he says, "I don't think anyone's won all three go-rounds and the average."

Now with a title on his belt, literally, the 16 year-old high school junior is ready to defend his championship. "I'm not going to let it go to my head, I've got two more years going there so I wanna go back and win it again."
