Northstate Native Enters Impressive Performance at Pro Road Race Championships

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - A Northstate native put in an impressive performance at the USA Cycling Pro Road Race Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Chris Jones, 33, competed Monday in a 100-mile national championship race.   Jones is originally from Palo Cedro and attended Foothill High School.  He currently resides in Bend, Oregon.

Jones took 19th place out of 37 cyclists.

He also placed third in the "King of the Mountains Jersey" which rewards the best mountain climbers in the race.
