For fifteen years, Jennifer Scarborough has made her home in the Northstate. "This is such a beautiful area, with wonderful, giving people," she says.

Jennifer grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico (where she went to high school with Chief Meteorologist Mike Krueger) and graduated college at the University of San Diego.

She came to KRCR in 1995 as the Tehama County reporter after a short stint in Carlsbad as an anchor and reporter for KDCI News.

Since 2005 she has been the news director, and anchor of News Channel 7 at 5 and 5:30.

Jennifer is a board member for the Shasta County Women's Refuge - a cause she believes in deeply. "The Women's Refuge is a critical part of this community-- from helping abused women find a better way of life for themselves and their children, to making sure victims of rape are cared for in the hours after their attack, to programs that work to prevent that kind of violence from happening in the first place," she says.

Jennifer married Gary, a local attorney, in 2003 and they now have four boys Justin, Connor, Carson and Ryan. The latest additions, Carson and Ryan, were born in Aug. 2010. "We are excited and nervous about the prospect of having four children under the age of 4 (three under 18 months!)," she says, adding, "prayers, well wishes, and spare diapers are very welcome!"
