Tracey Leong brings a passion for telling stories that affect us all to KRCR News Channel 7.
Her media career began where she grew up--in Southern California. She reported for the Los Angeles Metro System, the Crown City News in Pasadena, and worked behind the scenes at both KABC and KNBC covering the California 2010 Elections. Prior to calling Redding home, Tracey worked at KIEM in Eureka as a reporter and weekend anchor.
Tracey has a wide ranging background outside of media too. She worked for Congressman Adam Schiff, taught English at the Jinhua Foreign Language School in China and was a volunteer with the Pasadena Humane Society.
Tracey completed her undergraduate work in communications at Cal Poly Pomona and also attended Hunter in New York where she wrote for the Hunter Envoy. At the paper she focused on university and local political coverage, and landed an exclusive interview with John Edwards prior to his run for national office in the 2008 campaign. While in New York, Tracey also got a taste of life in the entertainment business, working on the show “Late Night With Conan O’Brien.”
In her spare time, Tracey loves to spend time in the great outdoors with her Chocolate Lab, Molly.
