Bonnie’s love of the sports world gives her the desire to watch games, tell stories and ask questions. Equipped with a degree in broadcast communications, she began her foray into sports journalism by interning for a year at KCBS/KCAL. She worked at other news organizations as an anchor, reporter and field producer in Los Angeles. Bonnie says, “I love getting to the guts of the game and the heart of the athletes, no matter the level.”
Bonnie grew up in Texas cheering for the Cowboys and the Jets with her dad, who played for Rutgers University From club soccer to swimming to snowboarding, sports has been a main character in Bonnie’s life whether she is watching the competition or competing.
She says the best part of being a sports reporter is the chance to highlight high school and recreational athletes. In addition to being a spectator for most sports, Bonnie enjoys seeing live music, reading, running, playing soccer and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Having visited the North State a few years back, she says, “it’s one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.” Please send Bonnie story ideas at email@example.com.
