It will be a sunny and hot day in the Northstate. Temperatures will reach into the triple digits for most of the valley and in a few places up in the higher elevations. High pressure is in place over the Northstate and that’s going to keep conditions sunny and dry. We’ll also see a warming trend that will continue through Friday.

As the ridge starts to shift, a trough will take its place. The trough will bring cooler air from the north into our area, cooling temperatures down by the weekend. By the next work week, we’re expecting temperatures to only reach into the mid to upper 80s and we could see a few sprinkles by mid week. Have a great day.
