Another Wonderful Day Tomorrow, Showers and Upper 80's Around the Corner

Another great day tomorrow, low 80s for the valley, and mostly sunny skies.

Any clouds in the morning will predominantly clear out throughout the day.  The sunny skies will allow us to warm up into the low 80s for most of the valley.  But things will begin to change on Monday.  We’re watching a storm system moving onto the California coast for Monday night into Tuesday which could bring some showers to the higher elevations.  There isn’t enough moisture to make it into the valley, but Mt. Shasta City, Yreka, and Weaverville could see some showers.  Alturas may see some light sprinkles, but is far enough east for most of the moisture to be precipitated out of the clouds by the time it gets there.

Later this week high pressure will build overhead and allow the temperatures to reach very summerlike highs.  It doesn’t look like we we’ll be anywhere near the triple digits we saw a few weeks ago, but we could definitely see temps top off in the upper 80’s to low 90’s Wednesday and Thursday.  But for those who are ready for the cooler temperatures to stick around, another front moves through by next Saturday and will cool us off considerably.
