Beautiful Weather for Thanksgiving Day and Beyond

Redding, Red Bluff, Chico

Happy Thanksgiving! It’s going to be a beautiful one!

The weather gods have cooperated to get all the rain and most of the clouds to move on out of the NorthState.  That means we’ll be sitting pretty in the sunshine in the valley, with only a few decorative clouds ringing the valley.  In the mountains clouds will be more prevalent, but won’t have the vertical development needed to create any rain.  With the increased sunshine temperatures will jump up into the mid to upper 60’s in the valley and the mid to upper 50’s in the mountains.

The rest of the weekend is looking spectacular as well.  Temperatures will warm slightly for tomorrow, peaking just over the 70 degree mark in Redding and just under it in Chico.  We’ll keep the beautiful weather around for most of the weekend, Saturday brings the best chance of some isolated showers, but they will be very light, brief and will stay to the north.  Mt. Shasta City, Yreka and Alturas have the best chance of seeing showers but a stray shower could make it down to Redding if conditions are right.  By Sunday things clear out again for partly cloudy skies and temps in the mid 60’s.
