Another beautiful day for Northern California, temps will range from the mid 60’s to the low 70’s in the valley.

The fantastic temps won’t last very long though.  By tomorrow we’ll see temps drop back into the low 60’s in the valley and will continue that trend into Wednesday as temps will struggle to make it out of the 40’s.  The drastic change is caused by a strong high pressure system just off the coast to keep us clear and warm today, and a strong low which will move in from the Gulf of Alaska.  The good news is that the low is very dry, so we won’t be seeing much precip out of it, but it will keep our temps much cooler.  Snow levels on this Wednesday’s storm system will be around 3,000 feet.

The rest of the week looks much below average temperature wise.  We’ll have temps leveling out around 52 degrees and mostly cloudy skies through next Saturday.  Friday into Saturday another storm system moves in from the Gulf of Alaska with a reinforcing shot of cold air.  This system won’t have much moisture with it either, and will bring showers at best to the valley floor.  The mountains and foothills could pick up a few inches of snow from this system though.
