A chilly morning across the NorthState, mostly sunny skies and a colder night coming.
Temperatures dipped to 41 in Chico, 32 in Red Bluff, and 31 in Redding overnight last night. We’ll see lots of sun today, but temperatures won’t get out of the 50’s and will set us up for tonight where we could drop into the upper 20’s for several places across the NorthState. Temperatures in the mountains could drop into the teens, with isolated spots into the upper single digits.
Sunny weather sticks with us through Sunday, with a continuation of the active pattern coming next week. It looks like we’ll have a very active upper level trough with small/weak storms traveling right along the jet axis. This means we’ll see lots of quick storms run right over NorCal. This will bring showers and possibly steadier rain to the valley and snow to the mountains. It looks like summer is finally done and winter has taken hold. We’ll keep you up to date on the latest forecasts.
