Chilly Morning Temps Will Give Way to a Warm and Sunny Day, Stormy Late Next Week
Redding, Red Bluff, Chico
Chilly temperatures to start the first big shopping day of the Christmas season, sunshine will warm us into the upper 60’s.
High pressure will dominate through the next several days, keeping us very clear and allowing us to stay nice and warm. Temps will peak near 70 in the northern Sacramento Valley, with slightly cooler temps closer to Chico and Corning. A very weak cold front will drop through the region on Saturday which could bring a few light sprinkles to northern sections – mostly in Siskiyou County – but Redding and the City of Shasta Lake could see some drops in the late afternoon to evening hours.
Sunday through Tuesday look beautiful, temps hovering in the mid 60’s with mostly sunny skies overhead. But after that, things go downhill. We’re watching another strong storm late week which will bring a lot of rain with it again, this storm is looking similar to this last system that moved through. It will have several storms shooting through the base of the upper level trough, and each one could bring with it locally torrential rains and isolated thunderstorms.
