Cold Morning Gives Way to Beautiful Weather To End 2012

Redding, Red Bluff, Chico

POSTED: 7:16 AM Dec 31 2012

Very cold morning in the NorthState, clear skies will allow temperatures to rise today, New Year’s Day looks great.

Clear skies will allow temperatures to rebound from their frosty origins this morning.  They’ll bounce back from just below 40 degrees in the Redding area and just below 30 degrees nearer to Chico.  The high pressure system which is causing this beautiful weather will stick around through the end of this week giving us lots of gorgeous weather.  Temperatures will slowly rise into the mid 50’s with the possibility of touching 60 degrees by the weekend.

Long range forecasts don’t have much change for us.  We’ll be seeing lots of clear skies with cold nights and cool days, beautiful January weather.  Happy New Year!
