Cold Night in the Valley, Temps Near Record Lows
Redding, Red Bluff, Chico
Freeze warnings for the valley tonight, chilly temps stick around for tomorrow.
Temperatures tonight will bottom out near record levels with Redding bottoming out at 27, which would tie a record set in 2000, Red Bluff should set a record of 29 degrees, beating their 30 low set back in 2000 as well. And Chico will beat their record by 3 degrees with a low of 30, their record was set back in 1985.
The rest of the week looks warmer, but won’t be “hot” by any stretch of the imagination. Temps will hover in the low to mid 60’s throughout the week with more clouds than sun as several bursts of energy move overhead. We could see some isolated showers on Tuesday but most won’t cause too much rain. On Thursday and Friday another storm starts to move our way from the Gulf of Alaska. We’ll keep an eye on these and keep you up to date on any and all developments.
