Quiet but cold weather for the next few days, record low temps possible on Sunday night.
Temperatures bottomed out in the mid to upper 20s in the valley this morning. Redding: 25, Red bluff: 29, Chico: 25, but the mountains were much colder. Alturas dipped to -16, Mt. Shasta got down to 9, and Trinity Center bottomed out at 16 degrees. The good news is that (at least for the valley) we’ll pop right back up and be back in the upper 40s to low 50s for many locations in the Sacramento Valley. The weather will remain the same through the end of the week and into next week as high pressure strengthens over the eastern Pacific Ocean. This will keep the majority of the clouds at bay and will allow for temperatures to eventually warm into the 60s next week.
