More great weather for today and through the weekend.

Today we’re starting with lots of high level clouds, but those will steadily thin and depart through the day.  It will make for a fantastic day with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s in the valley, and in the mid to upper 60s in the mountains.  Temperatures and sky conditions will remain largely steady through Sunday.  Saturday will see the tail of a very weak cold front drop through the region.  That could produce a few very widely scattered sprinkles in northern Siskiyou County and in the mountains on either side of the valley.  Sunday looks fantastic though as sunny skies return.

Tuesday into Wednesday is a completely different story.  We’ll see an ocean storm move in with gusty winds and heavy rain.  We’ll see the high level clouds move in late in the day Monday with clouds steadily thickening through the morning on Tuesday.  Rain should start around noon on Tuesday and continue through Wednesday evening.  The heaviest rain will move through Tuesday night into Wednesday and could drop around half an inch of rain.  On Thursday the clouds will clear out, and we’ll have to watch for the possibility of some thunderstorms.  We’ll keep a close eye on this system as it forms.
