Very chilly weather this morning with clear skies and light winds will make for another gorgeous day.

Temperatures bottomed out in the mid to upper 20s in the valley this morning with areas of frost.  Temperatures will rise quickly once the sun comes up, allowing many areas in the Sacramento Valley to peak in the mid to upper 50s today – a few areas may even approach 60 this afternoon.  Tomorrow night will be similar to tonight as high pressure continues to hang on but will be pushed out by an ocean low moving through for the weekend.  That storm, moving through for the weekend, will give us lots of clouds for Saturday and Sunday and the chance for some rain showers Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The good news is that system will be relatively fast moving and will depart by Monday allowing us to warm up.  Temperatures in Monday will be near 60 in Redding and in the upper 50s in Chico.
