High Clouds Will Keep the NorthState Cooler Tomorrow, Rain with Thunder Possible on Tuesday

One more dry day before cooler and wetter weather moves in.

Tomorrow will be the last dry day before the much needed rain we’ve been expecting on Tuesday.  High level clouds will allow the temperatures to stay much cooler than the past several days.  Temps will stay in the mid to upper 50s tomorrow, and will continue to fall on Tuesday as the clouds thicken and the rain begins to fall. 

Rain will start mainly in the mountains overnight Monday into Tuesday.  The best chance of rain in the valley will occur in the morning hours on Tuesday but will mainly be in the form of weak thunderstorms in the valley.  The thunderstorms are entirely dependent on the sun breaking out – if I peaks through the clouds long enough, then the storms will fire off, otherwise, things will stay quiet.

The rest of the week looks will be slightly cooler and cloudier than we’ve been used to, but won’t be bad by any sense of the word.  Temps will remain in the 50s through next week and will see lots of clouds overhead.  Models have been hinting at another system to move through on Friday into Saturday but haven’t come into agreement quite yet.  We’ll keep you posted.
