Early clouds will clear with another set will moving in from the west. Temperatures will remain cool today.
The overcast from early this morning will continue to clear throughout the morning hours, but will be replaced by high level clouds later in the day. The combination of cloud cover and the persistent upper level cold air will keep temperatures on the cool side of things today. Temps won’t make it out of the low 70’s for many areas, and some areas near Chico won’t even make it out of the upper 60’s. Another batch of clouds will move through on Saturday and will provide a chance for some showers in the mountains to the north.
After that system move through we’re still watching another system to move in off the Pacific Ocean which will have more moisture with it. This system has the best chance of any widespread showers, but we aren’t anticipating a soaking rain just yet. Temperatures will be on the rise from Sunday onward, and when the clouds clear by Tuesday will be ready to jump. Wednesday and Thursday of next week we are watching the chance for low 90’s in the valley. We’ll keep you updated as things develop.
