We’ve got one more beautiful day in the NorthState, temps will stay in the mid 60’s tomorrow but things will quickly change as a strong upper level low will move in.
Tomorrow and Tuesday will be the calm few days before the storm. And what a storm it will be…but first, tomorrow we’ll see nice sunny skies and temps in the mid 60’s, Tuesday will see mostly cloudy skies with showers starting around midnight and heavy rain in the early morning hours of Wednesday morning. Temperatures on Tuesday will be slightly cooler due to the increased cloud cover, but we’ll still peak in the mid 60’s.
From Wednesday through Sunday December 2nd, we’ll see nothing but rain, wind and clouds. Several intense systems will be spiraling around a very strong storm centered out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. These will bring a very heavy rain and high winds to the NorthState through the following days. We could be seeing upwards of 10 inches of rain over the course of 5 days in the valley and some locations in the mountains could see more than 20 inches of rain in the mountains. With this amount of rain coming out of the skies the possibility for dangerous flooding is very high. We will keep a close eye on this system as things continue to develop and let you know as we see them.
