This morning’s showers will end soon and will allow for clearer skies through the remainder of today.
The showers we’ve seen for the past several hours are drying out now and we won’t see any more throughout today. Tomorrow another band of clouds will pass overhead, but won’t do much more than partially obscure the sun at times. The best chance for showers will be in the mountains near Chico as the system moves to the south and tosses another band of moisture our way.
Friday things will change slightly as another system in the ocean moves our way. This will act to force the current storm eastward and open the door for our next system to move in off the Pacific. The front associated with Friday’s storm won’t be strong enough to make it across the mountains, but will create some clouds and patchy showers mostly to the north and west. Our best chance for more widespread showers is on Monday when another system swings through our area.
