One Last Sunny Warm Day, Cooler and Wetter Weather Approaching

The sunny skies and warm temperatures are here for one more day, cooler and rainier weather is right around the corner.

We are in the process of a patter shift from the recent bright sunny weather we’ve gotten to know and love to the wetter, cooler weather normal to Northern California this time of year.  As we speak we are currently down 2.28” in seasonal rainfall.  This pattern change should fix that – but let’s get to the forecast.

Today we’ll have the breezy winds which have been around from near midnight last night – gusts could top 30mph in spots.  As we continue into Monday high level clouds that will initially filter the sun, will thicken to a mostly cloudy day as the wet weather approaches from the west.  Temperatures will suffer as the sun won’t be able to penetrate quite as easily. 

Tuesday we’ll see a moderately strong rain storm move in.  Temperatures will struggle to make it out of the 40s and snow levels will drop to 1500 feet by the time the system is over with.  We’re also watching the possibility for thunderstorms on Wednesday after the main batch of clouds moves out.  From there another batch of systems will start to move into the NorthState.  We’ll keep an eye on this system and the ones following.
