More stupendous weather on the way through this week.

We’ll be way above average in the temperature department this whole week.  Normally we should be hovering around 64 for highs, but the coolest we’ll see this week is 70 – and that’s all the way out on Sunday.  Temperatures today will peak in the upper 70s to right around 80 degrees today and will stay there through Wednesday.  This is all due to a very strong area of high pressure built in overhead, which will keep things quiet and sunny.  Wednesday will be a tricky forecast, because there is a fair amount of cloud cover out over the ocean which will be trying to make its way in.  Just how long it sticks around, and the cloud thickness will have a drastic effect on the temperatures of the day.  We’ll keep a very close eye on it.

As for the rest of the week, Thursday really looks like the only day where we won’t get blue across the entire sky.  And even then we won’t see any low level clouds.  Most of the cloud cover will be very high, and could be above the peak of Mt. Shasta.  The plus side to this, is there is a very good chance for Lenticular Cloud development in this type of environment.  From there, the skies start to clear out again as more high pressure builds in, this time from the Northwest.  It will keep us cooler, but still in the mid to upper 60s and a few places will hang around the 70 degree mark.
