11/3/12 -

Beautiful weather moving through for the next several days, with big changes late week.

Temperatures will continue to rise day-by-day, peaking in the mid to upper 80’s on Monday in the valley.  Redding and Chico could be seeing record high temps on Monday.  Redding’s record high is 86, and is forecast for 85, and Chico’s record high is 80, and is forecast for 81.  Weather from tomorrow through election day on Tuesday will remain quiet and very sunny.

Later this week we’ll be seeing a huge upper level low move in from Alaska.  This storm system has a huge cold pool with it which will drop temperatures down into the mid to upper 50’s and will carry with it enough instability that thunderstorms are a real possibility.  Snow levels are preliminarily forecast for 3,500 feet dropping to 3,000 feet, but could fall from there.  We’ll keep you posted.
