Sunny Skies Today with a Few High Clouds This Afternoon, More High Level Clouds Tomorrow
Redding, Red Bluff, Chico
More pleasant weather today, an increase in clouds will keep temperatures cooler tomorrow.
Temperatures today will remain above 10 degrees above average. We’ll see some high level clouds similar to the clouds we saw yesterday move through. Those will be just thick enough to filter the sunshine and keep our highs below the 80 degree mark. Tomorrow we’ll see even more high level clouds which will come in earlier and remain for longer, that will filter more sunshine out and we will be in the low 70s for highs. This is all due to a system about 1,000 miles west of the California coastline bringing lots of rain to Washington and Southern Canada.
By Friday the sunshine will return and we’ll bounce back into the mid to upper 70s. The good news sticks around for the weekend too as more high pressure builds in, keeping the temperatures high, and the sunshine abundant. Our next chance for rain comes next week with the possibility of a storm sliding to the south of our slowly northerly-migrating high.
