Sunny skies are back and will stick around for most of this week.

Chilly night tonight, will start transition into a beautiful day for next week. High pressure will move in from the west to allow the temperatures to rise into the upper 50s to low 60s in the valley tomorrow.  Clouds will largely remain away from the valley with mostly orographic clouds in the mountains.  The abundant sunshine will allow the temperatures to rise quickly through the day and peak in the upper 50s to low 60s on Monday, and low to mid 60s on Tuesday.

By Wednesday things start to change.  An arctic cold front will move through the NorthState bringing clouds and showers overnight Wednesday into Thursday.  With the clouds and showers will come much cooler temperatures.  We’ll lose 12 degrees Tuesday into Wednesday in Redding and 11 degrees in Chico over the same time frame.  From there, the temps continue to fall, but behind that front there really isn’t much by way of any moisture, so it will be chilly sunshine moving in for the middle to end of next week.
