Sunny Skies and Warming Temperatures for New Years Week
Redding, Red Bluff, Chico
High pressure will build in from the North, keeping the skies clear through Wednesday this week. This will also allow the temperatures to steadily rise as the sun is allowed to warm the earth. We’ll see many areas peaking in the mid 50’s tomorrow and will warm to the mid to upper 50’s – even some areas touching 60 by new years and January 2nd. The best news of all is that these temps are going to stick around for a while as no major storms are headed our way through the end of the week.
The best chance we have for any precipitation is really Thursday night into Friday morning as a very weak disturbance moves through. Most likely it will get caught up in the mountains to the east, but there could be a few spot showers that make it through.
