9/30/12 -

Triple digit temperatures for tomorrow, but not quite record highs. And we do have a cool down coming later in the week.

Tomorrow will just be hot. No way around it..at or above 100 degrees for almost everyone in the valley, and temperatures will spike over 90 for many places in the mountains. But there is good news on the way, the temps will start to fall beginning on Tuesday, and will continue to fall through the rest of the week. That’s because the models have started to come into agreement on the upper level low out in the middle of the ocean which will move onshore by the end of the week. That will bring much cooler air in and may prevent us from getting out of the 70’s by the time Sunday rolls around. For the most part this system looks dry, there aren’t too many clouds associated with it, and we don’t expect much rain. But with a system like this anything is possible, and if there is enough instability in the atmosphere we could see some isolated thunderstorms pop off, especially in the mountains.
