Weather Forecast: A Few Clouds, Mid to Upper 60s Today
Redding, Chico & Red Bluff
The ridge of high pressure will slowly start to weaken today. Monday's afternoon highs will still be 5-10 degrees above normal, with a few clouds.
The high level clouds will pass through early in the day, moving out by about 10am this morning. After that the temperatures will warm very quickly with the abundant sunshine overhead, making for another spectacular day. The rest of the week will be a mixed bag of things. A very weak cold front will move through overnight tonight and into Tuesday which will start Tuesday with some morning clouds but those will largely clear up as the day progresses. If any clouds are left, they’ll be very sparse and widely scattered.
The thicker clouds move in for Thursday as a much stronger system moves in from the Gulf of Alaska. This system will bring rain to the NorthState, but won’t bring much. We’re expecting at most half an inch of rain, but we’re more likely to get .25 inches or so. The clouds start to clear out on Friday, but we’ll still be much cooler than today. Temperatures will stick around the 60 degree mark from Thursday through Saturday.
