Weather Forecast: Below Average Temperatures This Weekend
Redding, Chico, Red Bluff
It just keeps getting better and better each and every single day with temperatures not even making it into the 80’s on Friday. The area of low pressure we have been talking about for over a week has finally moved close enough to us to have a decent impact on our weather.
It’s expected to remain dry this weekend but as a series of weak disturbances rotate around the area of low pressure just off the coast we will see periods with high and mid level clouds. Otherwise, we’ll call for mostly sunny skies this weekend with highs in the mid to upper 70’s.
The low will finally move through Central California on Monday giving them the best chance for any rain which is expected to be fairly light. However, we will be on the northern side of this low and there may be just enough instability for some light shower activity mainly in the mountains with an even smaller chance for sprinkles in the valley. The main impact will be more clouds and cooler temperatures.
The same area of low pressure will move to our south and east on Tuesday of next week decreasing any chances for more rain. We should also see slightly warmer temperatures as a result.
