Weather Forecast: Breezy & Rainy Halloween
Redding, Chico & Red Bluff
Our second wet storm of the season moves in this afternoon. Not only will it be breezy ahead of the cold front but also much warmer than our last.
Snow levels will stay well above 6000ft. In Fact our in house forecast model really only shows snow on Mount Shasta and the highest peaks of Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Rain begins to move in after lunch time. Folks off to the west, Including Trinity county will start to see the rain a little earlier, as the cold front moves west to east.
Once the initial cold front moves through look for just scattered showers behind it. This may actually be a blessing in disguise. The heaviest rain could be out of here by 6:00 pm. So if you're out "Trick-or-Treating" around 7:00 pm you may only be dealing with scattered showers, rather than heavy rain.
Moving into Thursday we quickly begin to dry out and clear out. By Friday and this weekend highs return back into the 70s, with a run at 80 degrees by Sunday!
Still watching the forecast models closely but it could be interesting the next 10 days. We could be talking temperatures near 90 degrees early to mid part of next week before quickly cooling off by the second half of the week.
