Yesterday's storm system is well to our east and high pressure is now funneling into the Northstate. Expect highs near 70 today with gusty north winds.
Over the next 36 hours the surface pressure gradient will strengthen to 12mb from Yreka to Sacramento. For us that means strengthening north winds with gusts well over 30mph by tonight and tomorrow.
We could very likely see a WIND ADVISORY issued by the NWS for the valley later today.
Afternoon highs will hover right around the 70 degree mark today through early next week. Expect winds to begin to die down by Friday night.
Next chance for rain appears to be around mid work week, next week. However, there is a lot of waffling between forecast models run to run, at the moment.
