Weather Forecast: Clearing Up & Drying Out Today

Redding, Chico & Red Bluff

Yesterday's cold front and thunderstorm activity will continue to head east, southeast today, allowing for a drier northerly flow to clear and warm up the Northstate today.

After a fairly active day on Thursday with showers and thunderstorms in the valley and snow in the higher elevations we will continue to see isolated showers through this morning before we dry things out later this morning.

We were initially thinking the chances for thunderstorms would last until this afternoon but now it looks like the north winds will kick up quickly drying out the atmosphere helping to prevent any thunderstorms from developing.  Look for mostly sunny skies today with highs in the mid 50’s.

The dry weather pattern will stick around through the weekend but it will still be cool with highs in the upper 50’s under sunny skies.  The 60’s won’t return until next week.
