Weather Forecast: Clouds Begin to Break Up This Afternoon
Redding, Chico & Red Bluff
Yesterday's cold front has now exited to the east allowing for short term high pressure to move back in. Highs will warm to near 60 today before another cold front moves in Friday.
Another Gulf of Alaska low will dive down and interact with the Northstate Friday. The leading cold front will bring showers to the Northstate but not nearly as much as rain as Wednesday's system.
Behind the cold front colder air will filter in. This will set up for an unsettled weekend. Pop up showers and even a thunderstorm or two could form Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
As this trough exits Monday, a tight northerly pressure gradient will set up making Monday and Tuesday windy days.
