Redding, Chico & Red Bluff

As the ride of high pressure amplifys the next couple of days, we'll continue to see warmer conditions in the afternoons.

Overnight lows continue to be a challenge.  With a significant inversion in place, certain foothill and mountain locations are trending much warmer than the valley in the overnight period.

Take for example Paradise and Shingletown.  This morning Shingletown was running about 10 degrees warmer than Redding and Paradise at one point, was running 25 degrees warmer than Chico(around 4:30 am).

At the earliest it appears this large blocking high pressure system will only begin to break down by next Tuesday/Wednesday.
