Despite a few scattered mountain snow showers, the Northstate will stay dry today through next week. However, you can expect very cold mornings the next few days.
The Northstate continues to sit on the backside or west side of a very cold trough. As that trough pushes east into the central and eastern parts of the U.S., we will slowly begin to warm up.
It will be a gradual warm up for the Northstate though. Even by Sunday we are still looking at highs only in the low 50s for the valley.
Yet by the Tuesday and next Wednesday confidence is increases that warm and big ridge of high pressure will slide into the Northstate from out of the west. So we may be below normal in morning lows and afternoon highs the last few days and through this weekend, but things look much warmer by next week.
