Weather Forecast: Cooler Weather On The Way

The Pacific Northwest will see its first widespread rain event they’ve seen in a while and all we’re going to get out of it are some clouds, cooler temperatures and showers in extreme Northern California. This includes Northern Trinity and Western Siskiyou Counties. The first wave will move through Friday giving our neighbors to the north their first round of rain showers while we get partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 70’s.
We’ll rebound on Saturday but we’ll still be under partly cloudy skies with highs only reaching the upper 70’s which is actually below average for this time of year. It should be a little warmer on Sunday with highs in the low 80’s under continued partly cloudy skies.
A bigger wave will move through Sunday night into Monday over the Pacific Northwest giving them more rain and some of that rain will migrate as far south as Siskyou, Modoc and Trinity Counties giving places like Alturas, Weaverville and Mount Shasta some rain. At this point we’re keeping Redding and the cities to the south dry but will be a mostly cloudy day with highs in the low 80’s.
By Tuesday all chances for rain are out of here and we’ll see a decent warming trend with the low 90’s possibly returning by Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
