Weather Forecast: Cooling Trend Through Next Monday

Afternoon highs will fall to the low to mid 90s for the valley today. Look for much cooler temperatures by this weekend.

After a high of 103 on Monday and 100 degrees yesterday at the Redding Airport, highs will fall back into the mid 90s today.

Look for the cooling trend to continue all the way through the start of next work week.

The main challenge with this low pressure system is the exact placement of the center of it on Saturday and Sunday.  A jog to the north and we will likely see the chance for rain for folks in the higher elevations to the west.  A little further south (which has been the trend the last 24 hours) and we will see less rain chances.

Either way still look for a nice plunge in temperatures through the next 5 days.
