It was another breezy day but it looks like the winds should die down tonight with calmer winds for your Friday. The U.S. Drought monitor has many of us in the Northstate in the abnormally dry category while Modoc County is in a moderate to severe drought. There is no doubt we need the rain but it doesn’t look like we’ll see relief any time soon.
All of the storms are heading straight for the Pacific Northwest and all we will get are a few clouds with highs in the 60’s. We may get skirted by a storm Friday night and Monday with just a slight chance for an isolated sprinkle or light shower but I wouldn’t count on much if anything at all.
Some of the long range forecast models are hinting at some rain in about two weeks but there has been a lot of inconsistency so our confidence is low with this solution.
