We could see freezing temperatures the next couple of nights with lows between 30 and 35 degrees in the valley. Wide areas of frost in the valley are almost a sure thing for most of us this weekend. In fact, the National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for the Sacramento Valley for Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Daytime highs are not expected to be all that warm either only topping out in the mid to upper 50’s under partly cloudy skies.
Next week is looking unsettled with a mixture of sun, clouds and isolated showers from time to time. At this point, Monday looks to be dry with a chance for showers by Tuesday. It will dry out on Wednesday with yet another chance for showers on Thursday and Friday. Any rain we do see this week won’t be all that impressive and snow levels should be above 4000 feet.
The long range forecast models have been fairly consistent with a fairly large storm moving through the weekend of the 17th and 18th. Still a long way out there but something we’ve got our eyes on.
