Several storms will impact the Northstate through Sunday.  We can expect heavy rain and high winds through this weekend.

Storm #1 will continue to move through the Northstate this morning through this afternoon.  For folks, mainly east of I5 and in the higher elevations, can expect very gusty south winds today.

Through the evening and overnight period we are only expecting scattered showers with snow mainly above 6000ft.

The second storm arrives late tomorrow morning and we are expecting extremely heavy rain and a long duration event too.

The rain will continue all the way into Friday morning/afternoon.  Along with the rain strong south winds will continue for the Northstate through this weekend.  The strongest winds arrive Thursday evening through Friday morning.

Add the winds to very saturated soil and we're talking trees down and power outages.  Of course with all the fires this summer, debris flows, mud slides and rock slides will be a huge concern on top of flooding too.

Another strong band moves in Saturday so the flooding threat continues through Sunday.

We will be here around the clock through the entire event so check back for more updates.
