Weather Forecast: Lingering Mtn. Snow Showers Wednesday
Redding, Chico & Red Bluff
A weak cold front is pushing through. Rainfall amounts will stay below a .25" for the valley floor but mountain locations below 3000ft could pick up on some quick snow.
As the main precipitation shield moves through cold air will filter in behind it.
Snow levels will drop throughout the overnight period and into your Wednesday morning but moisture will begin to taper off.
So we'll continue to just track widely scattered to isolated mountain snow showers through Wednesday.
We will have somewhat of a break Thursday but a weak system to the north Thursday night may send a few clouds and maybe even a passing shower our way.
The next stronger storm is currently setting up for Saturday night. Confidence is still fairly low with this system so we will have to continue to monitor it through the next 4 days.
