Weather Forecast: Mainly Dry Through Thursday
Redding, Chico, Red Bluff
We will continue to see a mixture of sun and clouds the rest of the week with a slight increase in our temperatures by Wednesday and Thursday. There is still a chance for a few showers in Trinity, Siskiyou and Modoc Counties on Tuesday but really isn’t expected to amount to much. There is also a slight chance some of those showers may spill over into northern Shasta County as far south as Redding by the late afternoon hours but I wouldn’t cancel any outdoor plans.
A weak ridge of high pressure will build over the Northstate on Wednesday giving us more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures with highs in the upper 60’s in the valley. The ridge will start to break down on Thursday allowing for a few more clouds to roll in but should still be dry and mild.
The next storm is scheduled to arrive on Friday with rain and cooler temperatures. This storm will open the door for others to follow through the weekend and into the beginning of next week. Although our temperatures are expected to drop to the upper 50’s and low 60’s our snow levels are not expected to drop below 5000 feet.
