Weather Forecast: Mostly Sunny, Mid to Upper 60s
Redding, Chico & Red Bluff
It will be another day of mostly sunny skies for the valley with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Starting tomorrow a series of weak cold fronts will take a swipe at the Northstate.
Expect a few more clouds today compared to yesterday but highs within a few degrees of yesterday's low 70s in the northern valley.
By tomorrow a weak cold front will dampen the ridge of high pressure but keep most if not all of the light precipitation to the north in the higher elevations.
Best chance of precipitation for the entire Northstate remains late Wednesday night and into Thursday.
Snow levels will also drop throughout the morning and day Thursday. With the cold air in place I would expect to see some snow below 3,000ft.
We'll also need to be on the lookout for thunderstorms Friday with cold, unstable air aloft in place.
